Touring two of the most beautiful valleys of the Albanian Alps, passing through Komani Lake in a small boat. Historical sites and the cities of Lezha, Shkodra, Kruja and Tirana will be visited during the tour. The tour is named after an ancient Illirian castle of the area and, during July and August, will include swims in a basin formed where the river Shala spills into Komani Lake.

Sleeping and eating in these remote villages is a unique experience. Hiking/trekking guided by locals, in addition to our own professionals, is of moderate to challenging levels and horses/mules will accompany the adventurers. 2-3 lunches will be enjoyed in picturesque wilderness venues.
Navigating Komani Lake, one can admire the transformation of ancient valleys into fjords.

Arrival in Mother Teresa Airport. Moving towards the town of Lezha to visit the Scanderbeg Memorial, the grave and the castle. A refreshing pause for lunch or coffee in the famed traditional restaurant Mrizi i Zanave. The afternoon arrival in Shkodra includes visits to the Rozafa Castle and Museum, Pedestrian Street in the historic center, and Marubi Studio. Dinner and sleep in Shkodra.
8:00 An early breakfast before moving towards the valley of Vermosh, pausing in Leqet e Hotit and Tamare before arriving in Lepushë. Lunch at Alpin or Bujtina Lepushe hospitable guesthouses. An afternoon visit to the shining waterfall, the old stone mill, and the charming Lepushe village area. 19:00 Arrival in the welcoming guesthouses for dinner and a small local cultural event.
9:00 Following a hearty breakfast and with a picnic-lunch in hand, start hiking in the direction of Bjeshket e Namuna (Cursed Mountains) to visit the Cave of Paja; the trek is around 8 hours.Another memorable dinner in Lepushe.
9:00 Today’s hike is in the direction of Birizhdol, Dopkun and the Canyon – again, around 8 hours.Tonight’s dinner in Lepushe is sure to satisfy the heartiest appetites.
7:30 Early breakfast before moving towards Komani Lake.11:30 The Komani-Fierza ferry-trip is an unforgettable experience of Nature’s majesty and serenity.13:00 Mario Molla's guesthouse prepares a festive lunch and there’s time (July and August) for a refreshing plunge in azure depths.16:00 By car, onwards to Valbona for a tour of the village, dinner, and a restoring rest in the pristine mountain air.
8:30 The pleasant hotel prepares the picnic needed for hiking towards the pass of Valbona, stopping twice to appreciate the stunning scenery (duration, 8 hours).The evening meal is accompanied by a mini-concert of artists from the Tropoja Group.
8:00 Final High-land breakfast before departing Valbona to move towards Kruja.13:00 Following a traditional lunch in Kruja, a visit to the Castle, the National Ethnographic Museum and the Old Bazaar.18:00 The evening in Tirana is a festive spin through the city center, followed by a memorable meal at the Oda traditional restaurant.Accommodations in the city are arranged to facilitate early departures.
For those with the leisure, visits to the National Museum and the 17th- century Ethem Bey Mosqeue before departure from Mother Teresa Airport.
